I haven’t been able to log in to financial aid either. Regardless, they’re sending us a letter with all our aid info and a pin # to log in to our financial aid accounts. From the people I’ve spoken to, we should be receiving these pretty much a week to the day after we got our acceptance packages.

i recently called the financial office for my pin number
so i was able to log in but couldn’t view my financial award so the lady told me everything over the pple

Also, do you know the exact datee for the move innn day for transfers?
i think i read it was 8/31 is it the right date?

The lady from the financial aid office told me over the phone like
subsidized loan, unsubsidized, fed loan, scholarship, fed grant, and parent loan
she told me I will be able to view everything after a few days on the financial page

I just called today and the woman I spoke with told me that for some reason, even though all my information was in their office, they hadn’t made any decisions on my aid yet. She told me that they would have it done this afternoon and for me to call back tomorrow and they will give it over the phone.

ydh1021, I think that move-in day is August 29th. That’s the move-in day for the rest of the students, and I would assume that transfers would be able to move in the same day. I can’t really think of any reason we’d have to wait two days.

I just joined this thread-- I’m going to be a sophomore at CAS! I applied as a poli sci major, but right now I’m leaning towards international relations.

any international students got their I-20 from the OISS office yet? It’s been more than 3 weeks since they sent me a notice of receipt for my materials. I’m worried I wouldn’t be able to get a visa interview on time lol

I’m right there with you because I’m doing the exact opposite. They sent me a confirmation email two weeks ago saying that they received my deposit, but I have yet to receive any materials that are needed in order to get my visa so I can study abroad. They also extended my deadlines to 30 June, but again, I haven’t received anything yet, so I’ll probably end up having to call and ask for an extension.

If I didn’t love NYU so much, I’d be going crazy right now.

Have you made an appointment with your Italian Consulate? I made an appointment for the week after orientation (23 July) so that I’ll have been able to get any missing forms/answers to some questions. There should be a list on your consulate’s website about what you will need to bring with you to the appointment. I’m not really sure if each consulate requires different things, but I know that we need to bring proof of enrollment with us…and we don’t get that until orientation, so don’t make your session for before you pick classes.

how did you manage to get an appointment with the consulate without the i-20? From where I come from, it is a requirement for submitting a visa application.

Also, I believe you have to follow the instructions from an afcoe sheet found in your acceptance packet to request for the i-20.

Every consulate runs things differently. The Boston one allows you to make appointments online and only requires you to enter your passport information in order to obtain an appointment.
