nyu transfer

Hello! I kind of decided to apply to Steinhardt as a music business transfer student for this spring 2013, but I am sure whether it would be advantageous for me to apply for fall2014 instead.

This is my situation:
Current GPA: 3.93
High school GPA: between 3.85 - 3.95 (I don't exactly remember)
Number of credits took: 29
Currently taking: 13
Enrolled in a Penn State University with undecided major (sophomore)

I am planning to apply for Music Business and these are the concerns/questions that I currently have

I have a low SAT score (about 1870 ish?), and I've read that SAT score is NOT required if I have enrolled in university over a year. To confirm, I called the admission office recently, and they told me that SAT scores are REQUIRED, regardless of my semesters enrolled in current university. Is this true? If it is true, will my SAT score leave an impact?

As mentioned above, I am planning to apply for the Spring semester; however, will there be a higher possibility for me if I apply for the Fall 2014 instead of Spring?

If you have ANY information about these questions, please help me. It would help me ALOT. Thank you !!

From the website:
Transfer applicants who have already completed at least one year of full-time college or university enrollment in liberal arts and science courses are exempt from having to submit
standardized test results to NYU.

[Standardized Tests](<a href=“Transfer Applicants”>Transfer Applicants)

So this is quite different from what you were told. I think the website info is more likely the accurate info. In your case you have completed 29 credits to date. I would think they’d consider it a full year, but maybe the admissions wants 32. Did you tell them exactly the credits to date? Also can you have your transcript sent after this semester grades and still be within deadline?

Thank you sooo much for the reply!
Well the Spring 2014 applications are due this Nov.1
I’m currently taking 13 more credits, so I am not sure if it is better for me to apply for the following fall semester.
I’m just afraid that my GPA will drop since I’m taking accounting, which is killing me…
