I’m thinking about transferring to NYU this coming fall. I know it is a competitive school and was wondering what previous transfer students had as their GPA and other qualifications. My current GPA is a 3.6 and I am hoping to improve it this semester. My ACT scores were average and my high school GPA was a 4.0. A family friend of mine is also a professor there and is going to write me a letter of recommendation. What do you think my odds are of being accepted?
What program are you applying to?

NYU is my top choice school crossing fingers
@cm1213 I think once you are in college they do not ask about your high school history anymore, at least after you have completed a certain amount of college units. This means they will not ask for your gpa, act or sat scores, or recommendations from there. It really becomes all about your college gpa and extra curricular activities. You won’t have another standardized test until the GRE for graduate school. This provides a fantastic “blank slate” for those looking to leave high school far behind. Good luck!
