NYU Transfer

(I originally posted this on “what are my chances forum” but got no responses so I decided to post here) I am currently a first year at a CUNY college in NY, I would like to transfer to NYU for fall of 2019 but I don’t know if I would be a good candidate. My college GPA rn is 3.7, my SAT is 1300 I am currently apart of 1 club at my school(i would be in multiple but that created timing conflicts). My HS GPA is above a 3.5( i can’t remember the exact number) and I was apart of many clubs in H.S(president of STEM, Robotics, NHS, Co-Captain of Math league). My reasons for transfer would be because I don’t really fit in at my school, I am very motivated and very interested in entrepreneurship and while I tried to find students with similar interests at my school I have not found any(still have yet to make 1 friend). I also don’t like very big classes and that is very common at my school and those happen to be the classes where my grades are the worst. And there is a lot of crime that is being committed around my school campus(not in the friendliest of neighborhoods, I see and smell drugs outside the school on a daily basis) They also don’t have this specific major that I would like to pursue which is available at NYU CAS. Am I a good candidate for transfer? Are these valid reasons for transfer? Thanks
