In what order would you accept admissions to the following schools?

Which is the best all-around good college and which has the best program in business or premed? Why?

Thank you.

In what order would you accept admissions to the following schools?

Which is the best all-around good college and which has the best program in business or premed? Why?

Thank you.

UChicago
NYU
U of M

why? because i've lived in ann arbor for the past 9 years

Why do you dislike Ann Arbor?

I don't really dislike it. But, if I went to UofM I would miss out on the college experience. I already hang out at places that UofM students hang out at and I already know my way around ann arbor. It wouldn't really be fun and exciting because I have already experienced ann arbor.

U of Chicago

the rest on ur list

Thank you.

Why UChicago?

i got into all 3 of those last year, and mich and nyu never entered my mind, simply, i care about caliber of student bodies, and U of C trumps both of those by a significant margine

If because of finances you had to choose between UMiami, NYU, and UMich- Ann Arbor, which would you choose?

Bump.......?

Bump.........?

UChicago

extremely intellectual school

tough academics

gothic architecture

Intellectualism permeates there. It is paradise, and that is why I will be a freshman there starting in the fall.

My personal, though highly subjective, opinion . . . :)

UChicago
UMich
NYU

I disagree...if op likes the big college experience, I would def go to Michigan over Chicago.

well i can't really provide u with much advices, but I am in the exact same shoes that you are in right now. lol~ so if u want to PM and discuss about it, feel free to.

The actual order I chose them in:

UMich
UChicago
NYU

These three schools are all quite different from one another. NYU and Chicago are privates in large cities. Michigan is a pretty large school in a lively college town with tons of school spirit, where Chicago and NYU have next to none. Chicago is intensely academic while NYU and Michigan have great academics (Umich moreso than NYU), but aren't so focused on the life of the mind. Just pick whiich of those fits you most.

Rfox, did you get into Ross and Stern? Or are you talking Michigan LSA and NYU CAS? If you got into Chicago, Ross and Stern, you have a tough decision to make. If you got into Chicago, Michigan LSA and NYU CAS, I would say that your decision would be a little easier because CAS is not as good as Chicago or Michigan LSA. Between Chicago and Michigan LSA, the slight edge goes to Chicago (particularly in Economics and Physics), but they have completely different college atmospheres and cultures. I would recommend you visit Chicago and Michigan before deciding.

Thank you for the advice.

if you are planning to pursue ur studies in graduate work, uchicago is a no brainer. and to be honest, uchicago is a no brainer over nyu. in terms of prestige, uchi is probably the top. but i could definitely see why someone would take the michigan over chi.

I was admitted to Stern and Ross and UChicago.
