I've gotten into both NYU and Pepperdine. I am a business major. I am very confused as to where I should attend. I live in california, so Pepperdine is only about 30 minutes from home but it is a Christian school. I am not religious but I am muslim. Also, I am very liberal. Will I fit in with the students and professors? I dont want to be shunned for my differing views or feel like I am being forced to convert.
On the other hand, NYU is very far but it is a secular school. I assume it has better academics. I was accepted into Stern for the new Business and Political Economy program. I plan to work in the nonprofit sector after graduation with plans to open my own humanitarian organization.
My decision is weighing on the fact I would like to go to pepperdine as long as they are not pushy on religion and will prepare me for my future plans.
Advice??Please??

Pepperdine is not in the same academic solar system as NYU.

if you’re serious about anything in business, definitely go to NYU over pepperdine as long as money isnt a factor.

in my opinion, the coolest thing about pepperdine is its men’s volleyball team, they’re sick. but ive never heard anything about their academics being above average in any way.
