A girl in my school chose UDelaware over NYU. Now, is it just my bias (I'm going to NYU in the fall) or is this a really bad choice? Isn't NYU significantly better than UDel?

We live in central New Jersey, so it's not an in-state thing; also, the distance is about the same.

Could’ve been a financial issue. I also got into UDel and NYU - both gave me scholarships, and UDel gave me more money. I was lucky because my family could afford to shell out more for NYU, and ultimately that’s where I decided to go.

The schools are very different in terms of location and culture, I think, so that might also have been an issue.

Oh, man, UDel. My friend went there, and after she studied abroad, she realized how much she hated it there. It was a great senior year for her, obviously.

I guess financial reasons is the most plausible. I always thought going to a school like NYU would be worth some debt, but I guess it’s not for her.
