NYU visiting - can anyone help?

Hi!

First off, I'm kind of new to CC in terms of posting, but I've looked a lot of threads on this site and they've all been incredibly helpful, especially during AP season.

I'm in New York for about 3.5 weeks because I'm attending a summer high school program at Columbia U and from Thurs-Sun, we don't have class. One of my roomies and I have completely fallen in love with New York and we're both really interested in looking at NYU as another college to apply to this fall. What's stupid is that even though we're actually IN TOWN (she's from morocco and I'm from california...), we can't get into the tours because all the possible days for us are booked except the day we leave.

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with an admissions officer's email so I could contact them personally about maybe quickly shoving us into a tour since.. I don't think my roomie or I are going to be in New York for a very long time and I'd really like to see NYU in person before applying.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this. :)

Look for a contact email/phone number on the NYU admissions/campus tours site. If all the campus tours are booked, i suggest you try and attend one anyway. Just show up for a scheduled tour. I went on one last summer, and they didn't verify my name or anything like that even though I'd signed up for it online. Anyone couldn't walked in and taken a tour.

thank you so much :)

"Anyone couldn't walked in and taken a tour."

..oops, sorry. I meant to say "Anyone could've walked in a taken a tour"

ya i had the same experience. i reserved my spot online and they never verified my name.

yea the time i wanted to go was all filled up so I signed up for another time b/c my guidance cousnelor said to let them know you were there and I just went on the tour at the time that was good for me...they never checked

the only thing it's hard to get to see are dorm rooms, anything else, you don't really need ID or an escort to get into. Go down and check it out, it's Great! Best neighborhood in NYC...
