I'm just curious as to which school the majority would rather go to.

I had the choice to make between NYU CAS and BC CAS Honors and I chose BC (after a lot of thought...really hard choice) so I was wondering what other people may have done (whether it be honors for BC, or just regular).

Personally, I am planning on going pre-med with a major in biology.

Eh, probably BC because it has more of a centralized campus. It is a Catholic school (which personally is a turn off), Chestnut hill area kinda boring, and BC is like Duke's little brother. (another really really big turn off :D )

BC. choose not even to apply to NYU anymore after i got into BC.

i think i wouldve chosen BC anyway even if i got into Stern (im in CSOM at BC). i need the campus, the unity, the sports, more traditional college life.

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you're more into a traditional college experience, with sports and a centralized campus and school spirit, go with BC. If you care more about city life and would rather have a social life based on experiencing and experimenting in a great city, NYU wins.

Personally, I would never apply to either (I'd like to get out of NYC and I don't like Boston), but I suppose NYU.

Wow, congrats on getting into BC honors. That's pretty impressive, I applied there (didn't get honors) and read that it's for the top 5% of the freshman class (basically high ivy/ivy caliber students). Getting into honors at a school as competitive as BC is something to be proud of and I would definitely choose it over NYU. Great choice.

thanks! yeah i was shocked, it was weird because my brother got into Cornell and Northwestern last year and didn't get honors at BC. I got into Cornell sophmore year and wait listed at Northwesten yet got honors. I also got wait listed at Columbia, but he got rejected? I don't know, I guess all of these schools are crap shoots.
