I have a friend interested in eventually going to law. He'll probably major in psychology or poly sci.
He's not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

If he’s instate, go to Cal. Otherwise, I may lean toward a private education at NYU.

Something makes me think he will have a higher GPA at NYU, and GPA is the most important thing for law school

Bump I’d like more input on this.

Law school admissions=GPA and LSAT.

He should go to the school he thinks he’ll be the most successful at. Sounds vague, but that’s the best answer I can give. Berkeley psych and poli sci>NYU psych and poli sci, for what it’s worth. If he’s sincerely interested in those fields, there’s more room to excel at Berkeley. And personally I don’t like the whole “no real central campus” thing NYU has going on. But I don’t go there…
