NYU vs. BU...

Seoul,

I was accepted to CAS RD. Would it be possible, albeit really difficult, for me to transfer to Stern? Would it be worth it, given my situation, to attend NYU without being in Stern?

Thanks

bring up my post

You couldn't do an IB major unless you transferred into Stern successfully.

Of course, a transfer into Stern can be done, but do you really want to bank on it? I know of at least 3 or 4 kids off the top of my head that've done it, but who knows how many kids were rejected?

Yeah, I think most people have said that transferring into Stern is hard while transferring from Stern to CAS is relatively easy. In other words, it's possible--just hard. In terms of "worth it", I guess it depends if YOU think you can do it and if IB really is something you want to study. In my opinion, I think BU's CAS and NYU's CAS are relatively of equal caliber, besides in psychology I believe--I hear NYU's is one of the best in that field.

I transferred into stern.

wait nyu's good at psychology? are you mistaking it with philosophy, or is it good at psychology also?
