Just to start, finances are NOT an issue (I didn't even get any aid from any of these schools... just loans.) Well, they are an issue but my parents told me to not consider them. They're all out of state (I'm from Illinois).

I'm going in as a math major and I'm going premed. Aside from that I don't really have any special things that are important. I've visited Michigan and NYU and I loved both Michigan's campus and NYU's lack of a campus. I'm flying out to UCLA on April 13 to look at it.

Since this is on the NYU thread, I guess I'm asking you guys to convince me to come to NYU over the other two. Thank you~

The Courant Institute is the best for applied Mathematics anywhere in the US, even above MIT.

I, personally, believe that the student body of NYU is more diverse than any of the other schools you’ve listed, namely because of the location of NYU. I think it’s location in village also gives you great opportunities for internships and so on. NYU also, to my knowledge, has the highest average GPA of these school - which is good for getting into med school.

Oh that’s really nice… haha. I think out of the three my top choice is NYU but I’m trying to find justification because it’s so crazy expensive… not that any of my choices are cheap but NYU is the most expensive…
