Which would you prefer?

whichever gives me more money - really, to me, they're about the same. Michigan might be ranked higher overall, but NYU is in New York, where all the big companies and internships can be found.

If I didn't live in NYC, I'd pick NYU. But since I do, I would go with Mich.

I too was accepted to both schools. If a traditional campus is not a main priority, the clear choice is NYU. NYU gives one an open door to NYC. The state of michigan is losing thousands of jobs each year. Opportunity is a big factor---at least I believe it to be.

I don't think that wil effect anything becuase recruiters will be there from all over the world.

I guess I am trying to decide which business school will be the best. NYU Stern or Michigan Ross.

Stern is 4th and Ross is 3rd.

I hope you realize that top students at stern have high profile interships with their foot in the corpoate door long before the end of senior year. If you value a UMich education more, by all means go there. The career move would be the fast track at stern.

not really....

I think both are about the same except in the cases of consulting....
nyu doesn't attract that many consulting companies compared to michigan...

same goes with stern, more finance companies. ross students prefer to go more into consulting and marketing while at Stern they prefer accounting and finance. both are exceptional schools, so u can't go wrong picking either

The two factors I decided on - distance from home + money given. NYU > UM in both. The one advantage to UM academically, I think, is that it's much easier to change your mind at UM since you start out in the CAS there and then transfer to Ross in the 2nd year.

I just want to know if i have a chance at NYU? I applied i have a 1330 SAT ( 670 CR and 660M) and 3.63 great ec's and great essays. Letter of rec from vice-mayor and teacher and counselor. I am scared can u tell me what chance i have?

that is for RD CAS
SAT II's 660 Hist and 690 MAth 2c

also how long does it take for NYU to respond if i applied today?
