NYU vs. Northwestern: How is the major of Radio/Television/Film?

Now I have a tough choice between NYU and Northwestern.

Here's the problem: although I know NYU's film program is the best (along side USC) of the country, but I am actually accepted to the Cinema Studies of College of Arts and Science instead of the Tisch School of Art (because I began the application process too late and didn't have time for doing the portfolio, which means I will take the same film courses as with those Tisch students, but other curriculum will be different from theirs) So I still have no idea how this will work out - will film students of CAS have less opportunity, in terms of internships and such, then film students of Tisch?

As for Northwestern, it also has a strong major in film, smaller classes, although less great than NYU of course. Besides, I really want a great liberal art education, which is definitely better at Northwestern. And the greatest disadvantage - it's not in NYC or LA area, which seems critical for film studying. I don't know.

What do you guys think? Which school should I choose? And does anyone has any idea about the film programs in these two schools specifically? And which one will be better if I want to pursue graduate school in this area?

Bunches of Thanks!!!
I really really appreciate if you can help me with this...

Tish is much more production oriented, whereas NU is more theory oriented.

Just to make a general comment--being at NYU, the thing I've come to realize is that each of the schools are really separated, and it's usually hard to take classes within a different school. I'm not in Tisch, but I would say that you might have less of an advantage being in CAS if you really want to do a lot of Tisch classes. I'm not a cinema studies major though, so this just comes from my experience.

I don't know about Northwestern, but NYU Cinema Studies is all about film scholarship/history/criticism with a little filmmaking thrown in just to acquaint CS majors with production as a context for film discussions ... whereas NYU Tisch Film is all about filmmaking and teaching students how to make their personal films, with a little film history thrown in to illustrate the various innovations filmmakers came up with to solve their problems.
