nyu vs. uconn honors?

<p>so i've gotten into both. still waiting on more schools, but i'm fairly certain that these two will be my options.
uconn honors: got a $4,000 a year scholarship.
nyu: $20,000 scholarship, $3000 work-study</p>

<p>basically, which is better? in terms of finances, uconn would be a better option. but i really can't see myself in a town for college. i like the city, but i've heard about high depression rates at nyu. what's your opinion?</p>

<p>It depends on the program at NYU. UConn is a good school, but not Tier 1. NYU in general will probably open more doors for you later and has a larger alumni base, better employer presence and career services, and more of a name within education than UConn. Pulling in $23,000 in FA from NYU is pretty impressive, we have awful aid packages so just be aware they’re offering you a lot more than they are most.</p>
