NYU vs. UVA

self explanatory..i dont really know what i want to study..i started out as a math/science kid now im thinking about economics, international relations..but might choose bio or neuroscience in the end..im not sure...

as far as FA goes, i got all aid in grants 30K and fed loans 20K for NYU...last time I checked UVA it just had 8K loans, but its only the first day and I'm pretty sure they will add grants, just dont know how much..

personally i always loved nyc and urban campus...i know it will be a lot of fun. At the same time, it can be hard living there, its definitely gonna kick my ass, but Im ready for the challenege, and i hope i become a better person because of it..

can anyone compare, from an academic standpoint these two schools. which would be more impressive to ivy grad schools and employers in the city (ny, la)

*oh and im instate for UVa

Both are great schools, but when it comes down to it, financial aid should be your deciding factor.

Are those 20K loans for NYU annual? If so, realize that you would graduate with at least $80,000 in debt. If you are in-state for UVa, then it will likely be a lot cheaper for you.

If your goal is grad school, I would suggest saving as much money as possible now and get into debt after grad-school. Both are impressive, but your GPA will ultimately be the deciding factor.

bump…
