@AhMesAmis Yep!
Yeah. 2 days after they released decisions. @AhMesAmis
@KelseyCarolyn33 @Nimisha99 Oh no I feel unsettled now
I submitted my form but a few days ago. I had too many things going on at school the time the decision came out, so I never had time to fill out the form.
But I really put a tremendous amount of effort writing the “why” portion of the form. It was something like a thousand words…
@AhMesAmis Don’t worry! As long as it is before May 1st, you’re fine and they will definitely consider your application I’m sure your “why” portion will really help you!
@KelseyCarolyn33 Thanks! Good luck to us all!
After days of editing my Why NYU essay, I finally submitted my forms. Does anyone know if the lateness of my submission will affect when I will hear back (if I do)? Also, will they let you know if you are not selected from the waitlist?
@guamboy I think you’ll be fine; I also submitted my form only days ago. Based on past years’ experience, the AO probably doesn’t email everyone saying that they do not make it off the waitlist. Instead, what they did was posting a blog saying that they could not admit any more students (I could be wrong though).
@guamboy And just out of curiosity, do you mind telling me just roughly how much you write on that essay? I was afraid that they wouldn’t read something too long…

Top Art student in my country
@AhMesAmis I wrote around 700 words… I figured that since my Common app essay was 650 words, 50 more words wouldnt hurt. I couldve written a lot more, but I thought I had already said enough… What school are you applying to?
@guamboy I’m applying to CAS/Tandon. Lol I wrote like 1000 words. And after submitting the form, I suddenly remebered that the first “Why NYU” essay we wrote for the application was capped at 400 words…
@AhMesAmis I wasted my opportunity to express my interest in NYU through the first essay… I wrote about a bunch of crap to be honest. Bit me right in the butt
@guamboy Same… I wrote only hackneyed cliche in the first essay… Lucky that I didn’t get straight off rejected…
@AhMesAmis I wish you the best. Hopefully we can both hear good news. Have you been stalking this page too?
@guamboy Haha yes, have been stalking the entire NYU forum for quite a while now.
Good luck to us all!
Anyone else apply to tandon?

Was anyone waitlisted at NYU Gallatin/ know anything about the NYU Gallatin waitlist stats?

@mike8888 You get to choose what school you can go by doing the RSVP form for the waitlist.
