OMG, i haven’t heard ANYTHING from them AT ALL (international student)…no confirmation e-mail, no phone call, NOTHING…i’m stressing the hell out over here…
Do you guys think I should call NYU and check my status? (to at least make sure i’m even confirmed as being on the waitlist)

@naanbread Thanks, I applied to Stern! I’m gonna call the admissions office in a little while (probably around 10:00 AM New York Time) and get all of the info I possibly can, will let you know once I find out

international here too and applied to stern business school, haven’t heard anything back

@Bluebrry yea i don’t think any of us internationals have heard back, at least not those who applied to Stern which is nerve-wrecking

@CollegeBoundorNah Yeah really counting on Stern as well. (international from Korea here) Best luck to you! And just curious, do universities ever make calls to internationals (not just nyu, but others too)?
Ugh I got off the waitlist at GW and accepted but I really want to go to NYU :((
anyone waitlisted from CAS here anything yet? anyone waiting from CAS willing to list their stats? I was waitlisted with 2100 sat / 3.8 gpa.
I just got off the phone with a representative at NYU, and she said that if you were able to submit the form and saw the little white box appear at the end after confirming submission saying that your survey/form has gone through, then you are in fact on the waitlist.
She also checked with a supervisor who that there will be NO WAITLIST CONFIRMATION E-MAIL going out at all, and that there’s no set date as to when you will be notified of admissions (basically it could happen at anytime which totally sucks).
Thats basically what I was able to gather from them, so I hope it helps!
( @Bluebrry i’m really not sure about other colleges/universities, but I am on the waitlist at UCLA and never received a call from them either - only e-mail communication - so I really can’t say about what the situation is like with us internationals )

And @CollegeBoundorNah i believe its not important whether you are an international student or not, because my friend got off from waitlist may 5th last year. Of course he applied as an international applicant

Do you think they would call if I said I would accept a spot off the wait list if one is offered to me when I emailed them some questions? Or would that negate the need?
