If I applied to NYU ED| with my IB predicted score, and got it - how many point can I drop in the worst case scenario and still get the place?

Most American schools will not look at your final IB scores, unless they are your class grades. In the US, you would get a class grade and IB score. IB scores are like AP scores. You would get college credits if they are high enough.
