I'm a junior in high school and my grades have shown a dramatic increase since freshman year. I had mostly B's in freshman year (4 honors classes and 3 regular), sophomore year (4 honors classes and 3 regular), and this year I have 6 honors classes and one AICE class and I'm dual enrolling at a university. I also plan on taking 2 classes over the summer at the university. I'm also in a Biotechnology academy which is a 4 year science program. I plan on finishing my 4 years of mandarin Chinese next year. My unweighted GPA as of right now is 3.36 and my HPA is 3.59. I got a 26 on a practice ACT without knowing anything about the test, and I think I'm capable of scoring around 29-31. I plan on increasing my GPA to around 3.6-3.7. I plan on taking a couple of AP's next year but I'm not sure if will colleges even look at that? I have a turkish background and I was in key club my freshman year and I'm currently in National Science Honor Society, National Chinese Honor Society, and Asian American Club. I'm volunteering at a local hospital and I plan on graduating with about 250+ hours. NYU is my dream school, but I feel as if what I'm doing is not enough. Do you think I have any chance of getting in at all? I want to do CAS and major in biology/ biochemistry.
