Also, i know tuition is high so can you give me an opinion of how well NYU gives need-based money. Opinion on merit scholarships?

I think you have a good chance of getting in. need based money is very bad at NYU and you probably wont get much merit at all. I think they have a net price calculator you can use

According to last years RD acceptance thread, a lot of students received great aid.

@XCjunior2016‌ I thought its up to the fafsa form, like doesnt NYU have to give it if fafsa says to?

no only at schools that meet full need, unfortunately

@XCjunior2016‌ if i wanted to get a job like software developing after graduation, is an Econ/CS degree at NYU good/ its a bachelor of arts btw not science. Just contemplating between this and UMD’s program since I want to have a good econ background as well.

Yes, NYU’s computer science program is good (not great) and definitely rising. Why econ?

@XCjunior2016‌ I want an econ background because computer science and econ have many interconnecting jobs.

Yeah, I think you’ll be good for both at NYU

BUMP

I’d say you have good chances of getting in; however, NYU is notoriously stingy with financial aid.

You are IN
