Nyu.

So, what's it like? I mean, what kind of person do you think would love to go there?

I thought it would be easy to generalize the type of people who go to NYU but I realized it isn't while I was typing this!

I think it depends on who you're asking but there's one thing that most applicants share: The desire to live in the middle of NYC. You're near everything -- stores, entertainment, nightlife, and etc. I know some people at NYU who are very studious but others who don't take work seriously and are the ones typically found partying. However, the student body at NYU I feel is diverse since it's in NYC and are very open-minded -- they're generally liberal in thinking. Furthermore, you might find that most people at NYU aren't very supportive of sports so you won't find huge school spirit (generated by sports). But hey, you're bound to find someone who shares similar interests to you at NYU.

I see. thank you!

anyone else have input?

the girls are supposed to be pretty hot, and i hear they are often single cause a large population of the men are gay. So i guess, whether someones straight, or gay, then it seems to be a good place to go.

Its really expensive (if for some reason you look forward to that). I heard facilities are nice, but there is no REAL campus. Academics are good, but not insane. It is in one of the coolest cities in the world.

I like your generalization. Very few men in the world are gay. NYC might have some gay men, but I doubt many NYU guys are gay. I've been to NYU myself and didn't have any problems.

Just to reemphasize the above: The facilities are nice depending on what you're talking about. If you're talking about the labs, most are on par with the newest equipment. And again, there is no real campus. It's all spread out and it's really annoying to some like myself because I can't just walk across to class. NYU is known for its large class sizes -- you usually get teacher assistants most of the time because the classes are large, especially intro ones.

I don't think a large population of the men are gay. They're just single because they're just single. Girls are average, along with the guys.
