Hello everyone!!!
I hope you are all having a fantastic day. So, I just found out today that I got into NYU's Steinhardt's School of Education. I was originally on the wait list for my desired graduate program. I don't know if anybody out there has been in my shoes or might give me a little insight. After I had created my login to access "Albert", their online "me" site, I browsed around and noticed that my financial aid package was not ready because of a required document. After looking at my "to-do list", I was in shock to see that my citizenship status needed to be checked. Now, my concern arose after reading the paperwork which stated I had to two weeks to submit the documents to my financial aid office. Nowhere on the paper did it state a due date, so I'm assuming it is two weeks from today? There was no way for me to access the Albert website unless I was admitted into a program, meaning there was no way for me to know that I needed to submit my passport :/ I was never contacted by FAFSA about needing to do this, so I'm just a bit worried. I hope that I'm in the correct in assuming it is two weeks from the day of admission, which is today. It makes sense that it would be from the day I got admitted, since it would be the day I would have access to my required documents. This is all just stressful lol. I have the Gates Scholarship, so I know that in the worst case scenario they would cover the full tuition without any grants. I just honestly need someone to ease me of this stress lol. It's the memorial day weekend, so I won't be able to call NYU until Tuesday morning. Any who, any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated :) THANK YOU!!!

Call the FA office to get clarification.

Lesson to be learned:

Do NOT open critical pieces of mail or email or “browse around” your school’s financial aid portal on the eve of a three-day weekend!

Congratulations on the Gates Scholarship!!!
