Any O/A level students here who got into USC ? What grades and SAT scores did you have?

I don’t know how much this helps, but my A Levels were A*AA and my SAT is 2150, and I didn’t get in.

@LayraSparks , really? When did you apply? That’s pretty good, especially the SAT for USC. Any idea why you couldn’t get in? And were you an international student?

@SameerHussain I applied for last year’s cycle and am now reapplying. The SAT score isn’t really exceptional, it’s actually pretty average for USC. Yes, I’m international. I don’t really know why I wasn’t accepted. I understand that I didn’t get into SCA with its 4% acceptance rate, but I don’t know about USC in general. It was my first choice school and I really did my best, but I guess these things happen.

@LayraSparks, I guess it makes more sense then. I’ll be applying to their engineering school (Viterbi) as a domestic student. So i suppose the acceptance rate would be higher compared to SCA. Well, thanks for the information and good luck.

@SameerHussain Thanks & good luck to you too!

There have been lists of National Merit Scholars here who have not been admitted. It is not always about test scores. Last year the dean of one of Atlanta’s top private preparatory schools told me not one student was admitted to SC. This year two were admitted and enrolled. The admissions committee considers all sorts of factors in addition to SAT scores when discussing candidates.
