o_O low score: US History

I just got my score yesterday and I am like really going crazy...do you think I should explain PTON about my score?! I don't really have a real excuse ( only the fact that I self studied it and that I forgot most of the information =( )

How low is low?

Probably like 750...lol. but let's wait for the OP to speak.

not! .. I am not those kind of people who are making a drama because they got a 700+... this is a really low score.. 600- ok.. :(

if you have something really special about you...the lower score will not hurt you

as long as the rest are ok, it won't matter a lot....

And if you don't have a real excuse, don't send an "explanation."

We even have an admitted with a "LOWER" score.

US History: 590 ;) (not me unfortunately)

Don't worry about it, don't send any threadbare excuses...

How many other SAT IIs do you have?

I don't think low SAT II will hurt you much..

Yeah, I agree, especially if you have other SAT II's that are significantly higher than the lowest score, which chances are you have if you're applying to an Ivy. I wouldn't explain it further, that would just draw needless attention to the score. Princeton looks at everything holistically, and I'm speaking from experience. I was just admitted ED and I was concerned about a low score, but I made sure to accentuate the parts of my app that best reflected my talents. It may also help if your history GRADES have been good. Then they might look at the low SAT II score and assume you had an off day, which isn't such a bad thing.

As said the 590 isn't mine. He had the requested 3 SAT IIs.

thank u guys!.. oh and I have 700 and 710 on my other subject tests that I took the same day...
