OA Assignments

I got my OA information with my housing info. So, officially - which OA trip did y'all get assigned to?

I'm going on the Outdoor Adventure trip, because I'm a wuss and cannot live without plumbing.

hey chichi. I didn't get any ,ail yet from OA (I have the worst mail people around here!) but /i called them and the mn told me that Iwas going on an all-canoeing trip. I'm satisfied

I forgot, another thing that caught my attenion today. For anyone that happens to look at this and is in Holder Hall as I am, there is a possibility that we may not even be able to get our keys when we get there. Supposedly, rooms in Holder Hall are not accessible until Sept 8th and it says that this is for early arriving upperclassmen but, if Holder is not open until the 8th, then that applies to OA kids as well. If you want to see for yourself go to the Housing site and click on "What's New in 2005" and go all the way down to the bottom ad read the paragraph under the red heading. It is possible that other dorms may be included. Be on the lookout guys!

Usually OA doesn't tell you where you're going until you get to campus.

Does the info say who our leaders/fellow OAers are?

No, I think it only says what program we'll be in...though now that I think about it, it might just say "Outdoor Adventure" generically in the Activities section of all the packets.

It comes with most of the info we got in the first package, though more detailed, and an equipment list.

Hey, I'm in the Outdoor Adventure thing too. Here's to showers!

Was that the one you signed up for?

where can I find infos. about which OA i'm in??

Yeah, I signed up for Outdoor Adventure because I was feeling lazy that day. I'm really suprised I got into it considering I was 4 days past the deadline, and it seems to be the most fun.

were we supposed to get OA stuff with housing?

You don't find out your OA trip until you get to campus on the 3rd. You were supposed to get a list of equipment, separate from housing but around the same time. I personally got my equipment list a few days before my housing.

so did I, I was just hoping I could figure out what trip I was going on in case it influenced some of the stuff I bought (i.e. VT vs. VA)

Nope... they like to surprise you.

Hmm..okay interpreted the info wrong. Still excited to get my packet, though!

Oh crazy! I was wondering where it was gonna tell me what I was in, I got so confused.

hey...so no one knows what type of OA trip (backpacking/canoeing/rock-climbing) they're on from the mailing, right? all i got was a more detailed list of equipment...

Wait, do they provide all the food for us? Even on the real wilderness trips????

I think they tell you if you are doing Outdoor Adventure, just because you don't need the more "hardcore" stuff, but other than that you find out when you get there.

Ohh, ok. Thanks, prettyfish!
