I'm really looking forward to OA but have very little experience. Will hiking and canoeing be a killer? And do the campsites have places to store your things, and showers (besides the lake)?

Thanks!

There are no showers, and there are generally no places to store your things since you will usually not stay at a campsite more than one night (unless you do one of the really easy trips). The trips have varying levels of difficulty. Sign up for the one that you feel most comfortable with, and it won't be "killer."

thanks! also, since we go to campus first, do we set up all of our things before we go away on OA?

You can put your stuff in your dorm room, you just can't stay there for the night. All the frosh stay somewhere else, together. They don't recommend that you set up your room, as your roommate may or may not be there.

I live close to pton, so my parents are just going to bring me down and follow with my stuff the next week during orientation. I realize for some people, that's not feasible though..
