Oasis

I was bumped from my freshman seminar, so I've tried logging in to OASIS to change my schedule...however it keeps saying my registration has been conditionally restricted. Am I doing something wrong? Should I call somebody?

what do you mean? Are you able to login? If so ADD (a new freshman seminar) , does that work for you, if not try calling registrar’s office if you want

I can log in and get to the registration program…it then describes my current degree program (Bachelor of Arts, Spring 2013) and to contact the registrar if this is incorrect. I then press enter (because the program info is correct), and then it says:

1- Your registration has been conditionally restricted.
Please see the registrar of your school for more information.

The above condition(s) must be resolved before
you can register. However, you may proceed in order
to view course information but you will not be able
to ADD, DROP or CHANGE courses.

When I look at my schedule though, it has me bumped from my freshman seminar:

|Bmp PHIL 115F 13 FYS:Music Self Society *** Bumped from Course *** |

When I try any of the commands, it says “Command invalid or unavailable”.

have u spoken with ur advisor?

Okay, yeah my advisor just called me back…apparently for freshmen the only way to mess with your schedules is by calling, and it’s only to add or drop courses (so if you’re wanting to change a section you have to wait till next week), so that’s why that message kept showing up. So confusing! :)

Dont worry, OASIS is incredibly confusing, I still do not totally understand how to use it.

I’m a freshman who was also bumped from a seminar and OASIS is working fine…

Meaning you’re able to add/drop courses?

Yeah, I added one successfully.

as a fresh you need to first go through your advisor…which can be a pain because they are probably busy and you will have to deal with being on hold.

wait so im a freshmen and i am registered for all my classes, but i did not get my original time for caculus. to make it clear, i cannot change it now and have to wait til august 3rd???

yessss. must actually be bumped from a class, as in you don’t have it at all on your schedule.

it doesn’t seem like there’s been too much movement between classes, so probably a lot of the ones open right now will be open on aug 3rd (hopefully!)
