Maybe it’s just me?

WOW…I can’t believe I read all the comments on here…well I just want to say that it took years…and a lot of money to get into the situation we as a country are in now…and its going to take years and a lot of tax payers money to get out of it. Obama did not become President of a “clean slate…no problem country”…Obama is moving faster than other Presidents (BUSH) did in his whole “Presidency”(is that the term LOL)…also the comparison of Hitler and Obama is C R A Z Y!! I can not BELIEVE ppl would really type such things

Sorry, have never seen “=/=” used, I interpreted it as more or less equals – but anyway, it’s spurred a lot of really humorous conversation. Anyway, this whole discussion is essentially ridiculous. As many others have stated, you can draw parallels between Hitler and virtually anyone, and all that you end up doing is looking dumb and offending people (unless your parallel is to someone like Mussolini).

“If you aren’t a racist, then I apologize for calling you one. I assumed you were one because many people that call Obama Hitler, a secret Muslim, or not a natural born citizen, are racist. He really isn’t anything like Hitler, people like you just grasp at straws because you don’t like Obama, either because you dislike his policies, or because he’s black.”

Actually, it is possible to dislike the president for reasons other than the fact that he is black, and people like you prevent people who may not like him that much from speaking out, because people like you will call them a racist. I can’t believe that you would call someone a racist because they said something mean about your beloved president. And as for not being like Hitler, if you can’t see the similarities, then you don’t know enough about Hitler and the Holocaust, and you need to educate yourself more because it’s important. I’m not grasping at straws.

"Quote:
Obama is slowly undermining our democratic values by appointing his czars that don’t have to answer to anybody

Like lockn said, “Czars have been part of the political process since the 30’s. Every president since then has appointed them, including Clinton and Eisenhower (the best presidents we’ve had during that time). Also Reagan, who Republicans seem to love for some reason or another.”"

Obama’s czars have been a steady stream of craziness, radical ideas, and incompetence. This has not been the case with prior administrations.

"Quote:
He has extreme influence on his followers and they support him heavily.

What do you mean by extreme influence? If he did, why would his approval rating be dropping so rapidly because of his healthcare plan? Even if he did, Obama’s followers vote for him, Hitler’s followers killed millions of people. Big difference."

Although people are now starting to notice that maybe their dream president isn’t so great, there are still millions of people who are willing to do anything for him at the drop of a hat, and think that he has arrived to be their savior. Hitler’s followers did what he told them to do, and many of Obama’s supporters would do the same (not that I think Obama is about to tell them to start killing people).

"Quote:
His supporters don’t actually know what is going on or what his actions are truly bringing about

Welcome to America. Most people, liberals and conservatives, don’t know very much, if anything, about most issues. This isn’t something specific to Obama, it’s just the way people are."

The problem is, if a president isn’t very radical, and people don’t know, then they’re not missing that much if they don’t pay attention. Unfortunately, with Obama, in the blink of an eye, he has implemented drastic changes that affect many people negatively.

"Quote:
they only see a positive main idea and they are sucked in - that is, the economic recovery that both Hitler and Obama tout(ed).

I don’t know what exactly this is supposed to mean. You’re criticizing Obama for promising economic recovery? Anyway, its completely false that people only saw one idea and were sucked in, for both Obama and Hitler. For example, Obama also had healthcare reform, and Hitler also had anti-semitism."

You are incorrect here, for Hitler, anti-semetism was given to the people as a means to an end, the end being economic recovery. Hitler was able to blame them for economic problems and thus get people on board with his racial cleansing policies. It’s not like anti-semitism was one of his campaign promises. And also for Obama, I didn’t say there was only one main idea, what I mean is, people don’t pay attention to what’s beneath the surface - that is, the realities of the stimulus packages and healthcare plan.

"Quote:
They fail to wake up as bad things happen because they’re not paying much attention and don’t believe that things are true (many people stood by during the Holocaust because the actions being carried out seemed so unrealistic that the only possibility seemed to be that they weren’t really happening).

What “bad things” are happening under Obama that people refuse to believe are true?"

The trillions and trillions of dollars that we will be paying for the rest of our lives, to start. Redistribution of the wealth. A government takeover of healthcare, which many writers have noted as the first step toward total government control.

"Quote:
And don’t forget attracting the youth… completely honestly, Hitler youth was the first thing that popped into my mind when I heard about Obama speaking to all school children.

Hitler youth were indoctrinated with anti-semitism. Obama is talking to children about responsibility and doing well in school. I really can’t see the similarity here."

You obviously don’t know much about Hitler youth. It attracted kids by being like boyscouts, with activities and such, and it promoted loyalty to Hitler - it’s not like it was built on supporting anti-semitism, it was just meant to make the children loyal to Hitler so they would secure his future control and ability to implement his plans. If you think about it that way, then Obama speaking to kids, which causes them to be loyal to him, is not as different as you thought.

You need to learn more about Hitler before you tell me that Obama isn’t like him at all. When people hear this comparison, they think that I mean Obama is suddenly going to turn into a killing machine, however, it is important to realize the striking similarities between early Hitler and Obama.

haven’t read the whole thing… but i read the OP.

i suppose you believe the moon landing by the US was faked too? it reads the same way to me. the NAU? the “amero”? “research” done that says this council for foreign relations is a “new world order” group? this is f—ing ridiculous.

oh, and the earth is flat too. there’s research! and evidence!

obama hasn’t kept campaign promises? show me a politician who has, seriously. and though there may be “striking similarities” between early Hitler and early Obama… i’ll get worried when obama takes sole power for himself. which will never, ever, ever happen.

come on, people. the world as we know it is not about to fall apart.

One comment on the czar thing. Doesn’t Obama have like 30-40 of them?

And like Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, had like 3-4 each?

Anyone see the striking similarity between Hitler’s Brownshirts/SS and Obama’s “Civil Defense Forces”.

[Obama?President Of Special Interests](http://www.infowars.com/obama’s-civil-defense-program-resembles-domestic-draft/)

Can someone tell me why we’re still comparing Obama and Hitler? I was trying to push this thing into the direction of Obama lying about his involvement with the CFR and Trilateral Commission. All I said was that they both have great charisma, and because of that, they were able to get into power. Did I say that Obama has a plan to kill a race of people? Did I say that Obama is a crazy totalitarian dictator? No.

You don’t believe in the NAU or the Amero? Look it up. Bush the junior created the NAU with Canada and Mexico, he did this without any approval from anyone in his cabinet or the US congress. And this isn’t conspiracy ********. This is plain fact which has been broadcast on MSNBC. Hahah, and you don’t believe that the CFR has any NWO plans? They partner themselves with the Bilderberg group, and that group is basically all about NWO. Nick Rockefeller, a member of the Bilderberg group, told Aaron Russo who told the media that they and the government have plans to implant chips under the eyelids of each and every American citizen which will track everyone’s every move. You don’t believe that either? It’s already been confirmed by a company in Germany, and that company is the one making the chips. They have confirmed that they have already started creating millions and millions of chips which will be sent over to the US in the next few years.

So maybe you should have read more than the original post.

Every politician in the world won’t keep their campaign promises. If they do, they must be like some freaking beast. But Obama, on the other hand, has pulled a complete 180 on his campaign promises and is heading towards the other direction. If you want examples, watch the darn video.

ok, I did.

emphasis mine. oh, wait, wikipedia is controlled by the government and you can’t trust it? or even if it isn’t, ANYONE CAN EDIT IT! LIES! ok then.

Emphasis mine, again.

So, while people like you think the NAU or Amero may happen, they live only in the imaginations of these people. Please, stop with this conspiracy nonsense.

And now I’ve wasted entirely too much time on this. Bye, thread.

Yes! Go ahead and trust Wikipedia for all I care! That is the most reliable source in the world, after all!

Why would I try to argue with you? Clearly you are a right wing nutjob who really doesn’t have much grasp on our nation’s political system. I’m not arguing with psycho’s like you.
And this has nothing to do with my political affiliation. I wouldn’t argue with a hippie or hardcore Bush hater either. Not worth my time. Political conversations are useless if you aren’t at least somewhat moderate.

lol. that was far from confirming we’re about to be merged into one super-nation.

i also like how you dismissed one of the largest, most reputable newspapers in the world with a tired put-down about another, less-cited source in my post.

it’s a conspiracy theory.

I like how Lou Dobbs is supposed to be a more credible source than the New York Times.
