Low income single parent home and i have two sisters who both attend college
My college essay talks about me helping my mom and working two jobs/coming home at 9 tired and not being able to maintain a GPa</p>

<p>I go to top 60 Schools in the nation</p>

<p>Also i have around 500 hours of CC
150- with local club
120-dentist office intern
50-computer company
125-care home for mentally ill
60-local church basically temple</p>

<p>Im first generation to go to college</p>

<p>Please chance me for Boston University i can get Financial aid and take loans so please dont tell me the cost also my grandparents are paying for some</p>

<p>If you actually write a sob story like that, I think you’re pretty likely to get rejected.</p>

<p>I think your essay sounds fine. Your GPA is low, but you’re the kind of person schools want. It could go either way, I’m not sure.</p>

<p>It’s not about being truthful or untruthful, you cant actually write an essay that says I didn’t achieve a higher GPA because _____. Leave that out.</p>

<p>There’s a section on the common app that says “If you would like to provide any additional information regarding special circumstances etc etc etc”. Write about the sob story/gpa killer job there and pick something else for the main essay.</p>
