If there were any others who auditioned in the last few years, how was your experience? Is there anything I should look out for?</p>
<p>DS (baritone) received his invitation for Early Review audition on Sunday.</p>
<p>For all who are doing early review auditions, make sure and go to the departmental receptions for your major. Face time with the faculty prior to the audition is not a bad thing.</p>

<p>Congrats! My D was accepted as a soprano VP major at Oberlin ER last December - it’s a huge relief to get that over with so early. At the audition weekend, we heard a lot of, “there are a lot of sopranos auditioning for very few spots,” as I am sure you have also heard a million times. My advice is - stick wtih it and don’t let people deter you with words that make it seem impossible! As Michael M told my daughter - “bring on the sparkle!” Stand out and do your best. If it is meant to be, it is meant to be!

<p>… and you should try to arrange a sample lesson while you are there. Some of the teachers reach out to students ahead of time to arrange this but if you have a teacher in mind, you should email to request the lesson.</p>
