Has anyone who auditioned December 1st or 2nd received formal notification, either via email or letter, from Oberlin Conservatory regarding their admission decision?

My son has a friend who is still waiting too....

Ya, I know a guy who is still waiting... Monday, I guess?

I'm still waiting

a call to the conservatory on Friday confirmed that they mail the decisions Friday and Monday for the early review applicants -- so it may be awhile

I understood from admissions that Early Review candidates who were accepted would be notified Friday via email and snailmail would go to those rejected or deferred, but I don't know of anyone who has received an email.

Daughter got her acceptance email on 12/17 (two years ago when it fell on a Friday) and the letter came the following Monday. I would suspect that they are just running the usual day or two late, with the weekend adding a further delay. Hang in there and don't jump to any conclusions if you have not yet heard. Best of luck to all of you.

I got my e-mail and I was accepted to study voice! I also got a $6,000 per year as a merit scholarship!

Wonderful news, coloratura. Congratulations.

Congratulations coloratura! What a wonderful feeling to know you are qualified, they have a place for you, and that you did so well they offered you a scholarship. (Not everyone receives one) Enjoy your accomplishment.

Son, jazz alto sax, was deferred. He is at peace with the decision to audition early because felt he did "nearly his best." We shall see...

I was accpeted!

Voice - $4000.

My life is complete.

Congratulations Savoyard and Coloratura!!

Mom55, my heart dropped a little when I read your news, since I was waiting to see what had happened for your DS. Has he heard from Michigan yet (I thought he was doing an early audition there too)? Many acceptance vibes for him....

Congratulations, savoyard. Or as WSG put it in the second act of Gondoliers, "Oh, wondrous revelation!"

It's nice when people know what a Savoyard is...

Congratulations coloratura and savoyard! Mom55, good luck to your son in the RD round.

And for those of us who have known for thirty years or more, it is nice to see the next generation coming along.
