<p>Does anyone know if Oberlin Conservatory emails early review decisions? Has anyone heard any early review results? Many thanks!</p>

<p>nothing yet… MM said at Oberlin that decisions woudl be told by the end of the month but the website says 12/15 so I am not sure.</p>

<p>and they hinted that email responses were most likely positive and that US mail responses were … not so much…</p>

<p>I saw that in what MM sent when my S’s application was filed. I guess we will see when we see.</p>

<p>I think I saw something that deferrals and rejections were by mail.</p>

<p>It appears that at least early review acceptances were emailed today. Our son has been accepted to Oberlin as a composition student. Has not completely sunk in yet.</p>

<p>Congratulations Compdad and son! Will he continue to apply elsewhere, or is Oberlin his top choice?</p>

<p>So do they no longer have “auditions”/interviews in late Feb./early March for composition applicants?</p>

<p>These decisions today only pertain to students who interviewed/auditioned in December and asked for early review. Oberlin is his top choice. Thanks. He worked very hard for this.</p>

<p>Please let us know of any more acceptances, even if they do not plan to attend the other schools. This becomes very helpful information for those auditioning in future years. Also, please let us know when they have made a decision among their acceptances and I will start the Master List for Decisions.</p>

<p>Compdad, does your son have a primary instrument that he will be studying as part of his composition major (voice certainly counts as an instrument for this purpose)?</p>
