Hello all. Here's the deal. I was accepted to Oberlin out of high school, but alot of things happened and I decided not to go. That was two years ago. I have attended state schools since and have aprox a 3.6 GPA. My SAT scores were 800 reading, 630 math and 790 math. I have not been involved in a lot these last two years b/c I've transferred three times. If I appy to Oberlin at this point, what are my chances of getting in? Is it even worth a shot? I think I have a pretty good essay, that sort of explains why I chose not to attend and expresses how much I regret it. I was also planning to go for another interview. Is there anything I can do to help my chances, or should I just forget about it and not bother? Thanks alot

The college board transfer numbers are not too bad:

Transfer Students

* Total number of transfer students who applied: 297
* Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 78

Your GPA is pretty good, but Oberlin is really going to wonder about all those transfers. You'd better have a good story ready.
