Obscure Language Spoken at Home? Help!

I'm revising the basic information before submission, and one point has me wondering if I should make an addition.
For the language proficiency section, I indicated that English is my native tongue and the language I am most comfortable in. While I am in AP Japanese and have completed a foreign exchange program in Japan, I'm not ready to say that I hold true fluency in that language, and have omitted it accordingly.
However, another language is spoken in my home. My mother is Frisian (Netherlands), and growing up around her and my maternal family, a very specific dialect of their language was spoken almost exclusively. I only recognize the most rudimentary elements of it, but for the purpose of the common app, it might be important to note that my primary caregiver (a stay-at-home mom) did not learn English as her first language.

I can simply enter the language and check off 'Spoken At Home', but I'm uncertain if I should, since I am not technically proficient in this dialect. Any thoughts?

I say check “spoken at home” since techcally it is, plus there is no way they can check and it can give u an edge

Since this comes under “Language Proficiency,” I think it means spoken at home by you. And since you really wouldn’t be able to check speak, read, or write, what is the point?
