Pretty Good Essays

Watcha think? I already planned an acceptance/deferral gathering at ben and jerrys for Gtown but itll be pretty sad if I just cry over my ice cream all day.

Im also applying to U Chicago, whoops dont know how I forgot that.
majoring in IR.
Will take SAT II's in Jan

yoo-hoooo. anyone?

come on people. please chance me

Where did you sister do her undergrad?

johns hopkins

Dunno if this changes anything but I live in Puerto Rico
anyone?

good chances. are you technically a URM if you still live in puerto rico??

well, Puerto Ricans are US citizens... so I guess so.

well harvard is probably going to want higher SAT scores
but your extra curriculars look awesome

thanks!
I wasn't even going to apply to harvard but (like a lot of other people) I did it just for kicks.

Gtown SFS is the most competitive school in Gtown. Your low SAT scores put you at the lower end of the spectrum. However, you do show some initiative in starting some clubs at your school. But colleges have plenty of Editor in Chiefs. I'd say your chances are slightly boosted with your URM status but you'd still have to prove you're qualified. I'd say its a 50/50 toss up.

ok so here are my predictions

Harvard- Reach (is it ever any other way)
Gtown SFS- Reach (in my mind its a match)
Tufts- Match
JHU- Match
UCHicago- Match
Columbia- Low Match/Reach
GWU-Safety

any opinions?

I woudl make Georgetown and Uchicago low reach, besides that, you are pretty accurate, if your sat wasnt as low you would prolly have a better shot, any chance you can retake in january to improve?

sadly, no. I'm taking the SAT IIs in jan. so 2040 it is (that was my second try, my first one was 1830)

Its a crapshoot.

hey dude did you win any awards in model united nations?

Going off of golferdude, what exactly is "national vice president"? Because that sounds pretty amazing!

You'll probably get in everywhere except Harvard...your ECs need to be better.

I'm Vice-President in Puerto Rico (model un puerto rican congress). mm I've won first place about five times in local competitions, but only a third place and best resolution in international muns.
