Hello, I know work visas have been discussed on theses forums some time but I still don't get a clear answer of the following questions:

*If I graduate from a US College/Institute, and if I get an offer of employment (in say, industry or finance), will I easily get the appropriate visa or permissions?
In other words, if I'm qualified for a job, will I have the same chances as an American (of same level) ?

First you have to find a job where the employer will sponsor you for the work visa (H1B)- not all employers are willing to do this. Then you have to apply for your visa through the government. As of the last application cycle, someone with an undergraduate degree only had about a 1 in 2 chance of winning one of these visas, no matter who their sponsoring employer was. Hopefully the US immigration law will change soon and increase the quota on the H1B's.

Thanks for your answer.
Bad news for me...

Are the prospects better if I a get a higher degree from an US institution (Master degree for example) ?

Duh!..lol..

By the way, Does anyone have information about US Companies that offer H-1 visa sponsorship?

Thanks,
Ryan
