Anybody ever do this? I see that you can get your free response booklet back for $7. I'm not sure if there's any good reason to do this, or if anybody else ever buys their booklets back...?

I wouldn’t see any point to it. The questions are already online. I’m sure you remember how and what you did on the free response (at least a general idea).

You could even ask you AP teacher to see the packet (that you wrote in) for a couple of minutes. I don’t see why any teacher would say no to that.

I don’t see the point either. Just curious to see if anybody else buys them back. :p

I thought we were allowed to get our green booklets back and keep them…? (Not that it matters; I just thought that was how it works)

^The booklets that you pay to get back are the pink booklets. Those are the ones that you send in and get scored. The pink booklet has all of your work in it, so some people pay so that they can have their work that they sent in. The green booklets are the ones that never get sent in; they are just held onto until the 48 hours are up and then given back to you.

Yeah, I know that. But thanks anyways. lol

After I’m done with all my work in the pink booklet, I go back and write all my answers in the green booklet so when the teacher gives them back to us, I know how I did.

^^Just confirming that you get to keep the green booklets :)

I think we’re supposed to be able to keep them but only one of my teachers has actually given them back to us to keep.

I bought my FR answer booklets back. AP Calculus AB, AP World History, and AP Chemistry.

Just to have them, or for some other reason?

Just curious, are there actual grade markings in the pink booklets, like check marks and stuff?

Just to have them as mementos.

No marks, but I can always check my answers on apcentral.

I don’t want any of mine besides Human Geo… It would just make me mad at myself because I left some things out on APUSH and APES.

All of mine should have been given back to me, but I’ve received none of them. I bet they just threw them out…

My teachers haven’t given back my inserts either…

Anyway, I plan on ordering mine. Just so I know what I wrote, especially for English Lang :P

My APWH teacher is giving us a grade based on what we planned and pre-wrote in our green inserts. She demanded that we plan and write at least SOMETHING in the 10-minute reading period. I hope I get mine back for both of my APs.

I think I might order my free-response booklet if I get a 5 on my exams. I think it’d be a nice keepsake. I could even make a copy for my AP teachers to use as examples for their classes. I know that I always like to see sample student essays and know how they did.

I made some notes in my green booklets, but I am usually pressed for time when I do the FRQs. I made sure that I didn’t spend too much time writing things out in the green insert and that I spent the majority of time writing neatly into the pink booklet. This was especially critical for the Statistics exam (i.e. the hypothesis test).

I ordered my pink booklets back every year.
I had originally wanted to rescore my APUSH & Macro grades b/c I wanted 5s but got 4s.
So when I got the booklets back I got my teachers to score the essays to see if it was worth it or not to pay CB $25 to rescore the MC part of the exam.

Some teachers are interested in seeing ur booklets, I know some of mine used it as an example in class.

when do you receive the pink booklets if you order them? Beginning of August? End of July?

Considering you can order them up through September 15th, I’m not sure.
