Hello! I’m going to apply to Occidental this year as a transfer (Fall admit). It would be great if someone could chance me.
I’m a junior-level sophomore at a mid-tier UC school.
College GPA: 3.6 (may be higher at the time of application depending on how I do this quarter)
SAT: 2200 single sitting, 2220 superscore
HSl GPA: 3.4-3.5? not that great haha
Additional Information:
-I passed 10 APs in high school
-I’ve already taken many courses in my major, with a history of carrying a full course load each quarter
-I have an on-campus job at the campus writing center
-I’m confident in my writing abilities
-I applied to Occidental in my senior year of high school and was rejected, probably due to my low HS GPA
@choara You seem like you have a good chance of getting in! I applied as a spring 2017 transfer but was rejected
I had a 3.65 gpa from a cc with work/program involvement at my cc, but I’m pretty sure my old SAT/ACT scores and high school gpa messed me up, When I looked at the stats for last year’s fall applicants they only accepted around 90-100 students so I think spring numbers were even less, Best of luck to you! I’m thinking about applying again for fall but probably won’t cause I don’t wanna pay to send in test scores again
