<p>For apps that ask for the occupation of your mother/father, if your mother/father stays at home and takes care of the house/kids, is there a term we're supposed to use besides housewife? I've heard of "domestic engineer" but that sounds a little too fancy for apps.</p>

<p>On an overseas birth certificate, I saw "home studies" listed as the mother's occupation.</p>
<p>I consider myself a "homemaker".</p>
