Occupational Therapy - Hands-on

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with my search. I would love to do a master’s in OT, but I’m not very keen on spending hours on theory, I learn best through a hands-on approach. Do you know of, or do you know how I can find OT programs in Canada that are like that?

Thank you very much!

I’m not familiar with Canadian OT programs, but all Masters level OT programs in the U.S. require quite a bit of theory, practical experiences as well as research . In order to be a successful OT you need the theoretical background to be able to accurately assess a patient and develop a tx plan. If you want don’t want to spend time on theory, you may want to consider an occupational therapy assistant program .
