Occupational Therapy Programs, Homework?

I am currently an undergrad at James Madison University working on my bachelors in psychology. Once I've finishes with that I really want to go to grad school to become an OT.

I am a very good student, I have a 3.9 as of now, but I spend a lot of time on homework. I can retain information well but it takes me forever to read textbooks. Sometimes it takes me hours to write a paper. I am a bit of a perfectionist. This worries me because I don't know how intense the homework is in grad school.

Is most of the work done in class? Maybe in a more hands on manner? Or am I going to be spending hours on end reading 28475893 pages every night and writing till my brain explodes..

I hope someone can help me out here :)
Thanks

It seems you think your study skills are unique. it’s supposed to take a long while to read text books. they aren’t gripping novels. and I’m sure the purpose of writing a paper is to spend hours researching and writing- perfecting your skill in each. stick with what you’ve been doing and you’ll be fine.

Exactly what rcoll90 said. I can’t speak from experience, but I’d imagine the homework would be much the same as what you’ve experienced thus far. Have you not spoken much to other classmates who do well in your courses? I’ve found that in psychology, everyone who works hard has the same difficulties you do, and that’s accepted as the norm.
