Occupational Therapy Question!

Hey all! Congrats to everyone who was accepted and best wishes to all who are still awaiting news.

I was hoping somebody could help me answer a question about my admittance. I applied to USC’s occupational therapy program and was accepted for the “Pre-occupational therapy” track. Is this the same thing as their 5 year BS/MS program (which has guaranteed admission to their master’s program) or is it only a pre-occupational therapy major, meaning I would have to apply to master’s programs as a junior/senior in college? Any help answering this question would be greatly appreciated

Hi! So what was the major and school you were accepted under? If you were accepted to the School of Dentistry and it says your major is Occupational Therapy, then to my understanding, you are definitely in the combined 5 year program. It will also say your pre-professional track is OT.

However – if it says you have a different school.major, like Dornslife, you aren’t in the program, you just have a pre-professional emphasis for OT and you need to apply for a 2-years OT masters somewhere in senior year.

Source: just got accepted to the 5 year program!!! I am ridiculously excited
