OCD, Testing Accommodations

I have OCD from some traumatic experiences I had at a group home in New Mexico, I had to study extremely hard to do well on the Math Subject test, the biggest trouble was time, my hands shook, my pencil broke because I pushed on it to hard, and I re-read things many many times.

I am really worried and almost sure I will do horrible on the Reading/Writing sections of the regular SAT because of lack of time, and the only chances I have left to take it is in November and December, I live alone with my mom in a very small apartment and just looking at the college-board site, it is incredibly overwhelming to gather and find out what exactly I have to do to get accommodations. My counselor said she can't help me, I have to figure it out on my own, and I also don't think my mom can afford all these special tests I need to take, maybe she can get a loan though. I don't have a 504 plan or anything like that on file but teachers usually give me extra time when I ask for it. I also don't understand there important SSD dates and deadlines, if I get the stuff they want before then do I get the accommodations for the next test?

So what should I do? Should I even bother with trying to get accommodations? I am really worried about this so any advice would be appreciated.

You can go from there and fill documentation w/o the help of your counselor (although it’s weird why your counselor doesn’t agree to help you). Fill out the documentation etc and send them the request. It would’ve been better if you’d started earlier but you should be fine. Call them if you have any questions.
