Hypothetically, what would you be willing to pay for the October '05, January '06 and May '06 SATs (please state whether you are pricing them separately or together)?

$10 together...

lol each of them to buy together is 18 bux so i think it would be worth about $50

you want to sell them to us or something? i'd say 40 together

DAMN YOU GUYS....you're supposed to say lowprices....so we can buy it for less

1 dollar total (33.3 Cents each) ;)

i say you'll get good business at $10 for all 3.

lol btw that was a joke ..i d pay around 15 bucks for em maybe 20 (But i doubt though 10 would be 'safe' price)

FYI guys - @ $0.08 per page for copy and at average of 50 pages per test times 3 tests = $12. So anything below $12 will not even cover copying costs much less shipping.

where are you doing your expensive copying? FYI- You can copy them at places like office depot for $.05/page and with as much copying as you're doing, it'll be about $.03/page so it'll cost $4.50 for 3 tests. Shipping can be done for about $4.05 so you're looking at a total cost of LESS than $10. Even if you sell them for $15, you're making $5 for every set of tests.

Ummm, well you can't sell your copy of the test by the way, though it seems that we both have the Oct 2005.

so when are u gonna start selling?

Tonyt: actually, I or anyone for that matter, can sell the copy they receive from CollegeBoard. You cannot copy or reproduce it, but you can give away, trade, etc the copy received from CB. The legal precept is the "First-sale doctrine". Look it up on Wikipedia or call a friend who is knows IP law.

BTW, I have all of the released exams and a couple that have never been released, but the latter are never getting out of my sight, so they are a non-issue.

But it doesnt matter anyway, I have a better soln in mind, and as soon as I work out the particulars, I will let everyone know (By the end of this week)

PM is probably the best way to get involved, so shoot out a PM and I will notify you as soon as I am ready to begin.

So what should I do about the statement on the cover:
Personal use only. Not for resale
I mean I've shared excerpts of the test with people, but I've never charged them, so...

Understand now?

There is no express legal contract between the owner and copyright holder, so we must default to legal precepts. The overriding legal precept in effect for our discussion is the "first-sale doctirne".

One last time, who said I was offering anything for sale?

This is called research, and I was wondering about the sociological components of a perceived scarce, yet highly valuable, resource. I have gotten my answer, and I thank you, Tonyt, for your brillant insight throughout this thread. If you weren't here to saliently point out the legal tenuousness of my position, I might actually go and do something crazy like help students who are trying to overcome this evil exam.

I would love to explain more, but I am late for my lawn mowing competition with FreeFree113...BTW-my hamster can kick your hamster's ass any day (not in the good way either)!!
