Ok, so I read through like half these threads, seems like people got 20.

When I read the question, it didn's say anything about how a design had to be two different colors. Then it asked how many different designs there were. I know for sure it asked for different designs, because I double checked it, but about 75% sure that it didnt say 2 different colors

If this is what the question asked, then it's 5x5= 25, which is what i put. because blue, red is different then red, blue, and red,red has to be accounted. that's what makes it 5x5.

It did.. I really hate to burst your bubble but I spent 5 minutes (finished 10 early used 5 to check) on that question making sure to read that it said differnet color. I am 100% sure it said different color. AND thinka bout it. WHY would they change the regions to 1 and 2 if there wasn't going to be a color change? Answer me that. What would be the points of the 2 regions?

Like it had region 1, region 2, then region 1 again right?
WHy go to the trouble of putting that on if hes NOT going to put different colors? You get what I am saying?

Yes, it did specify that different colors were necessary. I was wondering whether "designs" was in there as well, so thanks for clarifying that :)

since when did color 1 = color 2?
I think they had 3 regions to trick test takers and make them think that it was more byzantine than it actually was.

it is an easy question: you have 5 color right and the ball 2 DIfferent color, so imagine you have two box
the fisrt one you can chose any color you like therefore you have 5 choice : put five in it. The second box you only have 4 choice left because you already use 1 for the first box. Remember Different color guys.

As the Laws of counting, just multiply 5 and 4 = 20 , 100% sure

Ok I was just reading this before, but now I really feel compelled to bring up 2 points about the baseball question:

1) Did it even say in the question that it was a baseball? Or did people just think that it looked like a baseball and started calling it the baseball question? I really don't remember seeing the word "baseball" or "tennis ball" in that question at all. But if it really was a baseball/tennis ball then the answer would NOT be 20 because the 2 pieces that make up the baseball are identical, and therefore AB is the same as BA.

2) Does anyone remember if the words "three different regions" in the question (keyword: three)? If they were, then it would not be a baseball since a baseball is composed of 2 different regions.
