Oct 14th SAT, last chance?

I can't send my Oct 14th SAT scores to my congressman or senators because their due dates are all on the 31st and SAT says Nov 2nd is when we get scores. Can I send my scores to West Point and have them use them when and if I receive a nomination? Because I really don't feel confident with a 1650/2400. I mean there aren't that many people going for USMA in Nebraska because everyone at the Service Academy Meeting said Naval or AF, but I just want to be sure I am getting in.

You are probably thinking what about extra-curriculars and GPA, well..
3.0GPA, 170th/220 class rank, 4-time varsity letter winner (swimming), swim team captain, German club officer(went on a trip to germany this year), 100 community service hours, big brother program for incoming freshmen, possibly freshmen retreat leader, and a few others I can't think of. I know my GPA, SAT, and class rank are lower end, but my school is extremely competitive and most of my classmates don't get involved they just focus on academics, while I have swimming which is very, very time and energy consuming. 0530 practice and 1545 practices, just about every day. 0645 practice saturday mornings.

Any Thoughts?

actually, i think you can get your scores to your nom sources if you have your scores rushed (extra fee though)

you are going to want to score pretty high on the test. your gpa/class rank is fairly low, but a really high SAT can help make up for that. I would also suggest takng the ACT.

I am really bad with the ACT though, so I don't think I am going to waste my time studying for it. The difference is like night and day for me, in the SAT I finish all the sections, ACT I'd be lucky to finish a few. Unless it's really going to help, I'm not going to do it. Really busy right now with nomination process, swimming, school and SAT studying. Thank you for the SAT tip though, br2011!

Well SAT just e-mailed me back and said one can only rush scores after they are updated on the internet, so it's too late for me it least. My apppointment packets are due 10/31 and SAT results come in 11/2, so, oh well.

Just send them into the congressman's office as soon as you get them, they will be taken into consideration. I was in the same situation last year.

Well, I think I am going to check with my congressman and senators, with this specifically. Thank you for telling me this!

I am assuming you are not in the academy now since you are located in Virginia? I hope you are right!

sorry for double post.

Yea I am actually at the academy, I just don't quite consider this place home.

I see what you mean lol.

Hey they said I could, yay! Thank you very much for telling me that.
