October 2012 SAT

Did anyone else think the curve was harsher?

I scored around 700 on practice tests but 660 on the real thing. :/

Very harsh. I consistently scored 750+ on actual practice tests, but got a 690 on the real test.

IMO the curve was very generous, I got a 760.

The last practice test I took a week before the real test, I got a 720.

Got an 800 :)

I scored a 630 in March, pulled out a 740 CR just now. wat

I scored a 520 in May and June (I sucked) and got 710. Although I’m ebullient I still can’t believe I missed the “erudite” sentence completion.

Ive been scoring 750s n i got 630… Dont know what happened… N i did well too, after comparing answers with cc… I think this is wrong… M so depressed…

Don’t know. I got a 720, and I usually score high 6 to mid 7’s. I know I got 2 sentence completions wrong- don’t know about the rest.

I scored a 610, which is a 70 point increase from five months ago (yay), but yes, I was expecting a higher score as well because I’ve been recently getting around a 650 CR on practice tests.

Thought it was very harsh too. I’ve been getting high 600s and low 700s on the previously released tests but got a 610. :/

I didn’t think it was overly harsh… In January, I got a 680, and on the October one, I got a 700.

650 but thought i got way higher than that after comparing scores w/ ccers

I got 660 in Oct and 680 in March. I could usually crack 700 on blue book practice tests but I guess I choked on test day.

I personally thought the writing curve was even harsher.

I hate the fact that I have that ****ty score with the massive drop off. One less wrong and my score would have been an 800.

@StraferKev, really? I got 760 Writing this time around compared to 710 W and didn’t notice a major difference.
