I auditioned the 31st and was deferred. Will I be hearing sooner than April because I was in one of the first audition groups?

There is a common date they notify everyone, and I believe that is in March.

March 15th I believe…My D auditioned on Oct. 31st as well, and received a deferral…so, wait and see.

singingactress,

To reiterate, March 15th is the notification date for Music Theatre, for those who are deferred (from the Fall & Spring) and for all of the prospective MT’s who audition in the Spring.

Hope this helps! And, please let me know if you have any other questions

Love, John

Just as a follow-up for those reading these forums as I did this time last year…My D auditioned at one of the first Auditions (Oct.) and was deferred…though we chewed through a few fingernails waiting (she was deferred), she ultimately was accepted into the program…one of 7 girls. Don’t read too much into audition dates/times…they videotape, and they do look back over them. I was told so when Cathy McNeela called personally. So, D will be joining Mr. Yi this coming weekend as a BFA MT student at Elon University. She is sooo excited, as are the rest of the incoming Freshman…they have facebooked each other and become fast friends already…Today is her birthday, and one of her new friends is visiting from across the state line.

Be patient…Be positive…don’t let you thoughts/emotions get the best of you.

Thanks for the encouragement, Luv2croon!

How many students are in the incoming freshman class? We are gone now - so sad!

Greetings!!! I hope you all are doing well. I am back at Elon now for my senior year, and I must say, time goes by fast! But, I am so excited for this action packed year :)

Luv2croon—Happy belated birthday to your daughter! I am so excited to meet her, and cannot wait for her to arrive to her home away from home :)

Ericsmom—there will be 18 students in the incoming freshman class. Furthermore, this year we will have the honor of hosting Craig Carnelia, Kelli O’Hara, and John Bucchino! Mr. Carnelia will be giving a two-day masterclass once again, Kelli O’Hara will give a masterclass as well as a concert, and the Spring “New Musical” is John Bucchino’s, “It’s Only Life,” accompanied by the composer himself!

Affectionately,
John

Hi Johnyi- My D attended the Nov 19 audition. I just wanted to say how neat it was that the current MT students were helping and cheering and encouraging and informing at every opportunity. What a great team spirit! Have a wonderful senior year and thanks to you and your peers for making the audition very pleasant.
