Firetrucks, famous civil rights speeches, and quantum physics. Oh, more things added to my list of nightmare props!

Hey guys....

wow the sat today was killer.

any idea what a -8 in CR, -6 in math, and -3 in writing would be?

Thanks.

If I were you I wouldn't be asking about SAT curves. You might get yourself prepared for a decent score only to find yourself staring at a much lower one.

Yeah.. we all claim that the test was harder than the others, but that might not be necessarily prevalent for all test takers.. which really sucks, 'cause I'm certain I did bad..

good point. expect the worst and hope for the best huh.

Aye.

Expect a solid 1200 and you probably won't be disappointed. I won't exaggerate, though, I believe the CR section of the test was way harder than that ... mischievous blue book led us to believe.

Et tu, Blue book?!?

:|

Yes. And to think, to prepare for the test I had my brother drop that blue book on my head 24 times. Maybe each drop would've added 100 points to my score. Sadly, all of that brain damage has been in vain because I'm convinced I can't read.

Sigh.

I hope reading looks like this:

800
800
800
790
780
770
750
740
730
720
710
700
690
680
670
660
650
650

Oh, if only -12 was a 700.

robotFOOD, how realistic do you think that is? I'm crossing my fingers too, but that curve may turn out to be false hope :o I really hope not..

yeah that would be like heaven.

RobotFOOD. You have poisoned us all with false hopes.

Krabble,

It is VERY optimistic.

Who knows though. Maybe the entire nation didn't do so great. We'll see

It's better than posting something like this:

800
800
800
800
800
800
800
800
800
800
800
800

Anyone have any ideas as to what the worst-case-scenario curve would be?

Do they determine curves before or after they administer the test?

How sad that we're secretly hoping the nation as a whole is stupid so it'll boost our chances at a higher score. LOL.

I would imagine it to be after they administer the test, but apparently after today I know nothing about SAT tests.

Well, one of the March SAT curves looked like this (from my QAS booklet):

67 800
66 800
65 800
64 790
63 770
62 750
61 740
60 720
59 710
58 700
57 690
56 680
55 670
54 660
53 650
52 650
51 640
50 630

But, I THINK that the CR on this test was harder than that of the March one. Of course, this is post-test anxiety talking, so I don't know.

How about this - we get our results and THEN talk about the curve? Either way it's sort of depressing because I have a feeling I got more than 10 wrong on the CR section. RobotFOOD, Krabble88, this means I'm remembering your screennames.

Consider yourselves remembered.

Wow that's actually not that bad. I just hope it'll be like that.
